With several years of experience in guiding, I have had the pleasure of leading travelers through diverse landscapes—from vibrant markets and historic towns to peaceful natural environments. Along the way, I’ve developed strong skills in storytelling, cultural interpretation, and ensuring that every guest feels safe, comfortable, and truly connected to the places we explore.

Kotu Creek

Explore this mangrove creek and the surrounding rice fields near the coastal strip and find birds like kingfishers, herons, sacred ibis, doves, starling, hornbills, rollers and bee eaters.

Abuko Nature Reserve

Explore this forest with various pools and photo hides and find birds like turacos, flycatchers, honey guides, hornbills, kingfishers, hammerkop sunbirds and plaintain eaters.

Lamin Ricefields

Explore the ricefieds with vegetable gardens and reed beds to find birds like African jacana, herons, swallows, dwarf bitterns, woodpeckers, lizard buzzard, African harrier hawk and shikra.

Kartong Wetlands

Among the pools, reed beds, palm forest and the sand banks you will find birds like white fronted sand plover, bee eaters, African darter, red necked falcon, grey kestrel, palm nut vulture, jacana, golden oriole, barbets and many more.

Brufut Woods

Wander around this forest, find the open spots in the woods and find turacos (both green and violet are regulars here). Sit down near the water feeder to take great photos of bishops, weavers, robin chats and other beautiful birds - and as a bonus you may encounter Brufuts famous night jars.

Tendaba Camp

These open woodlands with surrounding farmland and ricefields hosts species like the famous African finfoot, Goliath heron, African blue flycatcher, storks, kingfishers, Pel's fishing owl, ground hornbills and bateleur eagle.

Georgetown

This open woodland with its beautiful landscape and fresh water ponds is home to the Egyptian plover, carmine bee eaters, red throated bee eaters, various vultures and the African finfoot.

Farasuto Forest

This mix of forest cover, mangroves and open woodland hosts many species, like grey eagle owl, white faces scops owl, green headed sunbird, francolins and a huge variety of raptors.

Tujereh Woods

In these open woods and farmlands you may find species like chestnut bellied starling, hoopoes (both African and European), chestnut crowned sparrow weaver, African penduline tit, black crowned tchagra, whistling cisticola and all Gambia's four roller species.

Bonto Forest

This huge forest area with its amazing high canopy contains species like Verreaux's eagle owl, African wood owl, turacos, hornbills, little sparrow hawk, green crombec, leaf loves an many more.
